I'm sitting here watching the Grammys and just had the privilege of seeing Jennifer Hudson's performance. All I have to say is WOW! After all she's been through, to get up on the stage and nail her performance.
It makes me griping about having to edit my WIP insignificant.

Whats up?
OK I know I've been bad lately and I haven't posted as much as I should. Here's my explanation for why I've been missing.
1) I had drama going on at the day job.
- not directly my problem but it turned into my problem because my other co-workers couldn't talk it out among themselves. It really irritates me when people decide that being assertive means that you some how get a free pass to be rude and or disrespectful.
2) Also related to my day job. Caught a cold from the kiddies, and apparently there's a horrible stomach virus going around. So I suggest washing your hands an awful lot and using hand sanitizer, trust me you do not want this.
3) I've been writing.
- Shocking I know, but I really would like to get published this year. So I'm focusing on my paranormal, and trying to get it proposal ready. Which means (drum roll please) Lots and Lots of work.
4)Again related to my day job. I have to take classes online and I have to take certification test every month.
5) I'll admit it I've been down right lazy.
Forgive me!
PS I just got Suzanne Brockman's new book, I tried not to crack it open, but I failed. Miserably. So here's my resolution to this problem for every 1500 words I write I get to read another chapter. We'll
see how that works. Till I post again, to quote my Daddy, "Be good, be kind and be careful."

OH Happy Day!
I just got my copy of Patricia Briggs, Mercedes Thompson comic "Homecoming".
I love it. Love it. can't wait for her next book to come out.
In the meantime until I can wrap my mind around that chick selling her virginity, here's a sample of the music I write to when I need a faster pace. Enjoy Kassav, I used to dance to their music with my father growing up and have now introduced my girls to the wonders of Zouk.

Happy New Year!
Yeah I know it's a week late.
I've had visitors and returning to the day job has taken a lot more out of me than I imagined it would. After two weeks off it takes a period of readjustment.
I have also had the biggest Blond moment ever (at least for me. )
I awoke at 6.00am this morning and left my house to take a competency exam for the day job.
Why is this a blond moment you ask? well, somehow in the past three weeks I managed to convince myself that the exam was scheduled for Jan 1oth. This means I showed up to an empty exam center at 7.30 this morning pumped and ready to go, but my test is actually on the 24th.
oh well at least I got the class over and done with.
The only New Years resolution I have is that I'm going to stick to my list of goals, and keep up forward motion on my various manuscripts, while taking care of myself and my family.
I hope that 2009 is good to all of us, or at least not too hard on us all.
Best Wishes

Merry Christmas!
I've been running around like a chicken without a head. Never had i imagined that putting on Christmas for the kids would be such hard work. I now truly appreciate what my mother and father did for us, especially in this recession.
The tree is up and decorated, some of the cards have been sent out, the Christmas presents have all been shipped. And now I can breathe again.
So Merry Christmas Everyone!

Music !!!
I heard this song yesterday on the radio. It transported me back to the 1990's. I'm sure the people who saw me singing in my car thought I was out of my mind. so Enjoy Arrested Development's "Everyday People".

I've been tagged!
My friend Katie tagged me for the Book Worm Award!
Here's how it works: Open the book closest to you, not your favorite or most intellectual book, but the book closest to you at the moment, to page 56. Write out the fifth sentence, as well as two to five sentences following there.
From Karen Harper's "The Hiding Place."
"He ran away when he was seventeen, and my aunt had no way of knowing what happened. We still don't know if he's dead or alive," She said her voice snagging.
Well, he thought wrong topic choice again.
