My ranting just for you.

Words written today: 794
What I'm listening to at this very moment: Big and Rich's "Save a Horse Ride Cowboy"
Rihanna " Please Don't Stop the music"
What I read this week:
Stephanie Laurens "Where the Heart Leads"
Elizabeth Lowell " Moving Target "
Genita Low "The Protector"

Okay, so I mentioned that I'm a member of the Local RWA Chapter (http://www.cfrwa.com/) and I told you that I was taking the 100 words for 100 days challenge, but I never explained what that meant. So here it is I have to write at least 100 words everyday for 100 days straight. If I slack off and don't write then I have to start all over again. Now some people would cheat but, those of you who know me, know that i will procrastinate all day and then write into the wee hours of the night just to meet my quota. But thats okay because thanks to this challenge I'm getting tons of work done on my WIP. So thanks again Julie for issuing the challenge.
Now all I want to do is lose myself on a dance floor its been so long since I went dancing. The problem is that guys no longer understand the concept of hands off. Now I know I'm only 28 but really when some 20 year old decides its okay to put his hands on me . I have a serious urge to put my stilettos through his feet. Which is why I don't go out anymore, I have a low tolerance for anyone who doesn't understand I'm taken and even if I wasn't I wouldn't be interested. Not quite sure why I brought that up but oh well it is my blog.
Any who, I was talking to my friend Tracy the other day, and we got to talking about where we get ideas from, and sometimes like now I have a historical running around in my head , with an empath standing on the bridge of a starship staring at me. I know it sounds crazy but , I have to finish this book so i can start on the others and when i start working on those I'm sure I'll have a bunch of other characters running riot in my head waiting to be written. oh well thanks for letting me rant.

babygirl I'd write a book if I knew wheer to begin.I actually started volume 1 of a children's series for a children's lit class in uni, I just wouldn't know what to do after writing it.
anyhoo, see that's part of why i don't go out either, and it's like from you hit 25 the little boys gravitate to you. are we mrs robinsons?my 27 year old self would rather curl up on the couch drooling over Gary Dourdan (CSI Vegas) with some hot cocoa then go out and be man handled by annoying youths.
I totally understand. And it's your blog, rant all you want. Checking out Maui :)

Love your rant, and I totally agree about the dancing thing! I mean, come on! I'm about to turn 27 and I don't remember the boys in college not understanding 'hands off'. Now, even if I wave my wedding band in front of them its like they haven't got a clue! I'm glad you're having luck w/ the 100 challenge too!! I love it b/c on days when I feel particularly lazy, it forces me to get my butt in that chair :)

I have to finish my book, too, so I can start on all the others. Ideas are never the problem. Time is my big one.

Time is a big problem for me too. I have some, I tend to procrastinate and then, when i have none, I have the urge to write I have to retrain my self.
Katie you should read my friend Vee's blog. She has an interesting theory on the guy thing.
